Praia da Falésia is especially known for its long, uninterrupted stretch of golden sand, backed by red and orange cliffs that run for kilometers along the Algarve coast. The scale of the beach means it rarely feels crowded, even during busier periods, and the continuous cliffs offer many access points, as well as excellent spots for walking along the coast with endless spectacular views. The water is refreshing and often rougher, but during summer in Europe, it is one of the most appealing places to visit for its ample space and fresh ocean temperatures. It’s the length of the beach, the color and shapes of the cliffs, and the open space that make Praia da Falésia stand out along the Algarve.

    High season peaks in July and August, and Praia da Falesia is much busier during those months than it is at other times of the year. June and September are a great compromise with less crowds and excellent weather.

    Due to the popularity of European beaches in summer, we recommend visiting Praia da Falesia fairly early in the morning to enjoy it without it being very crowded.
