DHIGURAH’S ENDLESS SANDBAR ESCAPE

Dhigurah Beach stands out for its unusually long stretch of coastline and the sandbar that extends far into the lagoon at the top. It’s easily reached from the village, yet quickly feels removed, especially as you continue toward the far end where the sandbar begins. Here, you will find a narrow ribbon of soft white sand that pushes out between shallow, crystal-clear water on both sides. The conditions are typically calm, making it ideal for long walks and amazing swims, while sections of reef nearby is teeming with healthy marine life. It’s a a true tropical paradise and the scale and shape of the sandbar give Dhigurah a unique element that sets it apart from other Maldivian beaches.
